Alexandria, VA. – May 3, 2014 – ARServices is excited to announce that our President & CEO, Jerry McCargo, was selected to participate in the 2014 Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Emerging Leaders Initiative. This SBA program was created to help businesses and their executive leadership poised for growth and job creation within historically challenged communities. The Emerging Leaders program provides these businesses and their leaders with tools to maximize business growth, increase resource networks, and promote business sustainability within their respective urban communities.
The SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative includes 27 participating cities within the United States. This is the first year the Emerging Leaders program is occurring in the Washington D.C. region and provides a unique opportunity for ARServices. This intensive program is seven months long and includes specialized workshops and mentor opportunities specific to the participating companies.
ARServices will be one of 20 companies participating in the Washington, D.C. region. The selected companies and their owners were chosen based on a number of required credentials, to include revenue, number and skills of the employee base, and the accomplishments and abilities of the executive leadership. The program kick-off was April 28, 2014 with a ceremony at the US Capitol that was keynoted by members of Congress and senior officials from the SBA.
“Selection to the SBA’s Emerging Leaders Initiative is recognition of our outstanding performance to-date and the growth potential of ARServices. I look forward to engaging in this comprehensive program that will provide additional resources to expand our company’s employee base and increase the effectiveness of our employees,” said Jerry McCargo, ARServices’ President & CEO.
