September 30th, 2014: ARServices is Awarded Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Contract to Provide Information Technology (IT) Asset (Inventory) Management Services
ARServices is very pleased to announce that on September 30, 2014, it was awarded, by DLA, a contract to provide IT Asset (Inventory) Management Services to seven DLA activities, located nationally. This brings the number of DLA contract awards over the past twelve months to three. DLA is DOD’s combat logistics agency that provides the military, other federal agencies and combined and allied forces the full spectrum of logistics, acquisition, and technical services. Particularly germane to this effort is DLA’s mission to administer the storage and disposal of strategic and critical materials to support national defense. ARServices’ support of DLA is vital to the Department of Defense’s wide spectrum of logistics needs, during times of conflict and peace. Supported activities include Philadelphia and New Cumberland, PA, Fort Belvoir, VA, Columbus and Dayton, OH, Battle Creek, MI, and Ogden, UT. Under this contract ARServices’ asset managers will efficiently and effectively account for, track, and manage the constant flow of materials into and out of DLA depots/storage locations. The process involves controlling the transfer of inventory and maintaining optimal levels to preclude operational risks and to minimize costs associated with inventory management of IT assets, both from the perspective of total value and material readiness.
The primary benefit to DLA for ARServices’ delivery of mature, competent, responsible, and responsive asset management services is the flexibility for its technical managers to focus on strategic and other critical requirements and initiatives, while ARServices’ staff, efficiently and effectively, perform day-to-day asset management services.
“We are extremely appreciative of the confidence DLA has placed in ARServices by selecting us to perform this important work. The visibility and tracking of information technology assets is essential to the success of DLA‘s mission. ARServices is well prepared to assist DLA in this area.” said Jay McCargo, ARServices’ President & CEO.
