ARServices is Awarded DLA R&D Support Services Contract

Alexandria, VA  – April 15, 2015: ARServices Awarded Contract to Provide Program and Financial Management Support to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Research and Development (R&D) Program Office

ARServices is pleased to announce that, on April 15, 2015, it began the delivery of services to the DLA, R&D Program Office to assist it in effectively accomplishing Program Office mission and objectives. One of the results-oriented objectives of this award was the consolidation of three contracts into one, thereby reducing and streamlining contractual and administrative requirements under a single service provider. Specifically, the services under this contract include Headquarters DLA R&D Strategic Planning and Programming, Program Office, and Financial Management Support. This award expands ARServices’ footprint and further solidifies its continual, outstanding relationship with the Agency. Additionally, this award expands the portfolio of services ARServices provides to DLA; other services currently being delivered include telecommunications, logistics, and information technology. Following is a representative list of services being delivered under this vehicle:

  • Develop drafts for DLA President’s Budget R&D programs, particularly Military Uniform Systems Technology, Strategic Distribution, medical Logistics, and Combat Rations
  • Support DLA participation in joint planning efforts of the Joint Directors Manufacturing Technology Program and other OSD and DOD R&D efforts
  • Perform analyses and develop documentation to support Program Budget Review (PBR) submissions of R&D Program requirements
  • Develop technology roadmap formats for R&D investments
  • Validate functional requirements for maintaining R&D’s collaborative environment
  • Prepare draft plans for the execution of DLA Congressionally-directed R&D programs
  • Prepare and document recommendations of alternative approaches to executing programs and requirements from stakeholders
  • Prepare financial reports on day-to-day control and management of formulation, execution, and analyses of budget funding requirements
  • Prepare plans for monitoring budget execution and administrative activities involving actual obligations and expenditures
