The importance of continuing your education cannot be understated. As the Human Resources Director at ARServices, I have witnessed the tremendous impact new skill sets have in furthering an individual’s career. I value continuing education and working for an employer that also values continuing education is important to me. ARServices not only values continued education, they also provide education and training opportunities and assistance.
I was recently accepted into the Syracuse University Veterans Transition Program to complete my HR Certification. I was under the impression that the program would be a refresher in Human Resources topics, but so far I have obtained some very useful new tools. Additionally, ARServices provided me with the opportunity to visit the Virginia Employment Commission’s Employer Conference this week. The conference centered on critical issues in managing a business and information about the latest employment trends. This conference was a reminder of the importance of keeping my skills up-to-date and making sure I stay on top of new developments within my field.
We are never too old to learn something new that can make our jobs and our personal lives simpler. ARServices supports all of our employees in their drive to obtain new skills through the Training and Seminar Assistance Program and the Educational Tuition Assistance Program. These programs provide employees the opportunity to pursue job-related training to enhance their skills in current and/or future work-related areas.
