At ARServices, we work diligently to incorporate charitable giving and community involvement into the core of our company culture. And during the holiday season, this effort is especially important to us.
For this year’s company holiday celebration, we chose to give back to causes that support vulnerable youths and families in the DC area.
The proceeds from our 50/50 raffle this year were donated to the Healthy Babies Project, a local non-profit that connects high-risk, underserved pregnant D.C. women and families to health care, social services, and educational opportunities.
Every year, our party guests also participate in a collection drive; this year, it was a cold weather accessory drive for homeless teens in the DC area and last year there was a Toys for Tots drive.
“Our yearly holiday celebration is not only a way to thank and acknowledge our hardworking employees for their tremendous work, but it’s also a shining opportunity to give back to the community that supports us year-round,” noted ARServices CEO Jay McCargo.
During this season, we also have the pleasure of adopting four children through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program as well as a family in need through the Doorways for Women and Families organization, a local non-profit we contribute to throughout the year that works to transform the lives of women, men and children who are facing homelessness or suffering abuse in our community.
However, our charitable involvement is not solely tied to the holiday season. While we try to incorporate charitable giving throughout the year, closer to the end of each year, we collect non-profit suggestions from our employees to which we can donate. Every year, we are able to donate to almost 100 percent of the organizations that matter most to our employees with a donation of at least $250 each.
We’re extremely proud to be involved with all of these outstanding organizations and encourage everyone to reflect on the importance of charitable giving this holiday season and throughout 2018.
