Prior to joining ARServices in 2015 as a Project Manager, Mr. Covert proudly served in the United States Navy for 26 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. As a helicopter aviator and leader, he served overseas in multiple operations and campaigns and led one of the Navy’s largest aircraft squadrons, Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 14 (HM-14). He also commanded Naval Air Facility Washington, DC and the Navy’s largest reserve operational support center (NOSC Washington). Additionally, he served on the staff of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) and the Joint Staff in the Pentagon.
Mr. Covert is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He and his wife Wendy, reside in Centreville, VA and they have two grown sons, Dylan and Grant, and daughter-in-law, Kimmy.
